Narasi Hukum (Journal of Legal Studies)
Narasi Hukum is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to the development of legal scholarship through the study, interpretation, and narration of law in society. Published by Narasi Publishing, the journal provides an academic forum for researchers, academics, legal practitioners, policymakers, and other scholars to examine contemporary legal issues from doctrinal, conceptual, comparative, socio-legal, empirical, and interdisciplinary perspectives.
The name “Narasi Hukum” derives from the idea of narasi, referring to the act of telling, presenting, or constructing an account of events, ideas, and experiences in a meaningful form. In this sense, Narasi Hukum—“Narrating Law”— reflects the journal's commitment to menarasikan hukum: presenting law not merely as a collection of rules and legal texts, but as a living body of knowledge shaped by legal reasoning, judicial decisions, institutions, policies, social relations, and the experiences of individuals and communities.
Narasi Hukum seeks to capture and critically examine the diverse narratives through which law is created, interpreted, implemented, contested, and transformed. The journal therefore welcomes scholarly contributions that explore law both as a normative system and as a social phenomenon, while maintaining rigorous standards of legal scholarship.
