Narasi Hukum

Narasi Hukum is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to the development of legal scholarship through the study, interpretation, and narration of law in society. Published by Narasi Publishing, the journal provides an academic forum for researchers, academics, legal practitioners, policymakers, and other scholars to examine contemporary legal issues from doctrinal, conceptual, comparative, socio-legal, empirical, and interdisciplinary perspectives.

The name “Narasi Hukum” derives from the idea of narasi, referring to the act of telling, presenting, or constructing an account of events, ideas, and experiences in a meaningful form. In this sense, Narasi Hukum—“Narrating Law”— reflects the journal's commitment to menarasikan hukum: presenting law not merely as a collection of rules and legal texts, but as a living body of knowledge shaped by legal reasoning, judicial decisions, institutions, policies, social relations, and the experiences of individuals and communities.

Narasi Hukum seeks to capture and critically examine the diverse narratives through which law is created, interpreted, implemented, contested, and transformed. The journal therefore welcomes scholarly contributions that explore law both as a normative system and as a social phenomenon, while maintaining rigorous standards of legal scholarship.

The journal welcomes original research articles, doctrinal and normative legal studies, socio-legal and empirical research, comparative legal studies, conceptual and theoretical analyses, case and judicial decision analyses, and critical reviews of significant legal developments. Contributions may address, but are not limited to, constitutional and administrative law, civil law, criminal law, business and economic law, corporate law, insolvency and bankruptcy law, competition law, intellectual property law, technology and digital law, environmental law, human rights law, international law, labor law, consumer protection law, Islamic and customary law, legal philosophy and theory, and other emerging areas of legal studies.

With its commitment to “Narrating Law,” the journal encourages scholarship that does more than describe legal rules. It seeks contributions that critically ask how law is understood, experienced, interpreted, implemented, and transformed within changing social, economic, technological, political, and cultural contexts.

Narasi Hukum is published every April - September and October - March. The journal accepts manuscripts from Indonesia and abroad. All submitted manuscripts must be original, have not been previously published, and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts are subject to editorial screening and a double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, relevance, and integrity.

All submissions must be made through the journal's online submission system. Manuscripts must comply with the journal's Author Guidelines, publication ethics, and editorial policies before entering the peer-review process.
